Remedial Sports Massage

Remedial massage is a complementary therapy that aims to treat muscles that are damaged, knotted, tense or immobile. It is useful for problems that affect the muscles, tendons and bones and can address several other health issues, such as sleep, breathing and blood circulation.

Remedial massage focuses on parts of the body that require rehabilitation. Remedial massage first starts with a review of the
muscles, ligaments, tendons and posture. The person receiving the massage may be both active and passive during the massage as different techniques are employed to release muscular tension.

Therapeutic Remedial Massage

A therapeutic massage is a gentle soft tissue massage requiring little to no effort from the person receiving the massage. It is mostly a gentle kneading and rhythmically flowing remedial massage aimed to improve circulation, de-stress, calm nerves and relax the recipient.

This type of massage is great for people who are stressed and need to relax more, it assists with anxiety as it calms the nervous system. It is beneficial for people who are sensitive to pressure and are perhaps diagnosed with conditions such as Fibromyalgia, Osteoporosis, Arthritis or Parkinson’s Disease. Many people seek healing and nourishment from this type of massage.
